Just to wish each and every one of you a truly wonderful Christmas, and a happy, healthy, prosperous and successful 2013. This past year has had its ups and downs, but – as always – I have never ceased to be amazed by the tremendous support and friendship from all of you. I trust you and your loved ones are well, and I hope to hear from you in the New Year.

Merci et joyeux Noël Monsieur Ellory!
Bien à vous, Sophie.
And to you too, Sophie!
Just read the first 100 pages of a Quiet Belief In Angels. Best I have read in ages…..and I read a lot. Absolutely stunning……brilliant prose that are up there with Chandler, Hammet, Burke, Connelly et al.
Thank you, David. That is really, really appreciated. I really do hope you enjoy the rest of the book, and I would love to hear your verdict. Hope you and yours had a great Xmas, and all the very best for a happy and successful 2013.
Roger.
Je viens de lire "seul le silence" et j'ai adoré. Il y'a longtemps que je n'avais pas lu un livre aussi passionnant.
Je vous découvre en tant qu'écrivain et je vais lire vos autres ouvrages.
Merci, merci, merci .
Tous mes meilleurs voeux
Hallo Roger,
It was lovely to meet you again whilst shopping a couple of days ago, and many thanks for being so accomadating! I couldn't stop myself from just saying hallo, your face is so familiar now, it felt like meeting a friend! Just to remind you that you said you would send me an advance copy of "The Devil and the River" ! I would be thrilled !!
It was also a great pleasure to meet your lovely wife.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that I do some voluntary work at a local school for a charity that used to be called Voluntary Reading Help, now renamed Beanstalk ( don't ask me why, V R H did what it said on the tin) and the Duchess of Cornwall has recently become a Patron. I was telling one of the teachers at Court Farm Primary School (where I volunteer) that I had met you again, and she was very excited about the possibility of you perhaps coming to school to talk to the children? I don't know whether it is something you would consider at some future date? I do appreciate that you are a very busy man. Perhaps you could get back to me on this. I have taken a couple of your books to school for Mrs Wheeler to borrow, I hope I can establish another fan!
I am going on holiday on 13th March, and am taking A Quiet Vendetta to re read!!
Thankyou for taking the time to read this and I hope 2013 is good for you.
By the way, we did get to see "Les miserables" on tuesday, brilliant film, highly recomended, I think that all your books would make brilliant films, if I ever win the lottery it will be my project!!
Kind regards and hope to hear from youin due course.
Pat Fletcher.
Pat,
Yes, it was a great pleasure to meet you and your husband as well, and I am replying to you directly regarding coming to the school etc. Best wishes, R.
